Toronto Pearson International Airport recently underwent a major overhaul as part of their #ReThinkT3 campaign. Work has finally finished on the rumored $140 million project, with more than 50,000 feet of retail and relaxation space newly developed to serve the ever-increasing number of people who use the terminal every day (it’s estimated that by 2030, 60 million passengers will pass through the airport).
If you’ve got a flight from YYZ coming up, and your gate is in Terminal 3, just what can you expect?
Retail space
If you’ve passed through security and have some time to kill before your flight, terminal 3 has a wide variety of shops to choose from. All the standard airport shops are here, from duty-free stores to international currency exchange. However, the choices are much broader here than they were in the past, with new stores like Bally, featuring top quality footwear, and Lolё, for active wear, now available to travelers. If you need a new phone charger or another essential piece of electronics, The Source has locations both before and after security, while the essentials for your flight can be bought at either 6 + Sundry, or one of the terminal’s Relay stores.
Restaurants
Pearson’s terminal 3 has everything you need if you’re looking to kick back between flights and enjoy a good meal. They have it all from fast food, to grab and go, to sit down dining. No reservations needed – just drive in and park! Prices vary depending on the terminal and time of entry. For instance, in Terminal 1, it’s $7 for the first 20 minutes between noon and 7:59 PM, and $6 during other times. The daily maximum is $59. Terminal 3 has slightly different rates, so check the airport website for the latest details.
Preferred Park: Your Reserved Spot Awaits
Want a guaranteed parking spot and a smooth transition to the terminal? Preferred Park is your answer. It offers covered parking with reserved spaces, so you can skip the search for an open spot. It’s available in all three garages: Terminal 1, Terminal 3, and Value Park Garage. Prices vary depending on the terminal and whether you book online. In Terminal 1, it’s $7.50 for 20 minutes without a reservation, with a daily maximum of $42. Remember, booking online often gets you the best rates!
Important Note: There are no electric vehicle charging stations in Preferred Park. If you need to charge your EV, consider Valet Care or Express Valet, which offer EV charging options. Also, keep in mind that Value Park Garage Preferred Park requires a minimum 72-hour stay.
